Corn silk hair

Perhaps Sylvia misses Indiana's corn fields, or maybe she was inspired by watching me make tamales this afternoon, but Sylvia wanted her hair done with corn husks today. Gives new meaning to the term "corn silk hair!"

Thanks, D, for taking pictures.

  1. oh my! SO CUTE! I can't believe how much her hair has grown, and for that matter how much she has grown!

I hope San Diego life treats you well, or gets better... I'm not entirely sure you are loving it, but I hope so! You and Sylvia are definitely missed! Take care.

  2. I know--it's amazing what a difference her long hair makes. I was so used to her looking bald for so long it's a shock to look back at pictures from even just a few months ago. She looks like a little girl now instead of a baby.

Yeah, I'm not entirely sure I'm loving San Diego, but a lot of that is because I miss Indiana and my friends and my life there so much. (I really miss you guys!) I'm sure it'll get better as I build relationships and find my way around here. It's just that second part of transplanting oneself where you have to let the new roots grow.
